My soul cries out, shouting
And screaming madly
In the midst of a
Great lake, legs squirming
And kicking, arms flailing
Wildly about, every last
Drop of strength expended
To keep myself afloat,
But ever sinking, my
Attempts to tread the
Soul-chilling water useless,
My limbs slowly turning to
Lead, pulling me evermore
Downward, the water inching
Up my neck. I take my
Last breath and let out
One more howl, one last
Cry for help, but your name
Is never heard, drowned and
Lost in the soundless void.
